Question / Issue:

On Linux, there is /etc/hosts for setting static relationships between IP addresses and host names. Does this exist on Windows 10?

Yes. We use this on Windows 10 to SSH into various Linux boxes using Cygwin and X11. You can access and modify the hosts file by doing the following: Run powershell as Administrator and enter the following in the term: > cd C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc > start notepad hosts Make your changes and save the file.
